The shadowy specter, a flickering, shadowy apparition, floats inches above the ground, seeming to move through solid obstacles with little effort. Possessed of excellent incantation ability, the specter prefers magical combat to physical combat in its efforts to bring down its foes. Its shadowy shape flickers in and out of reality as its empty eyes stare out in space.

Other information

Shadowy specters have between 127 and 130 HP.

These creatures are known to drop pale water sapphires, which are an Adventurer's Guild quest item.

Upon a successful hit, the shadowy spectre can impart a cold flare on its opponent. An example of this attack:

>A shadowy spectre swings a closed fist at you!
  AS: +102 vs DS: +86 with AvD: +17 + d100 roll: +99 = +132
... and hits for 2 points of damage!
A feeble blow to your left arm!
A shadowy spectre's touch brings the chill of death!
  ... 30 points of damage!
Your dead eyes gaze back blankly after the blast connects solidly... or is that an icy stare?
