The features of this horror are difficult to make out due to the shifting of its shadowy hide which instantly assumes the color of its surroundings. Despite the strange effect, its eyes glow red and a wave of ethereal light flashes across its mane.

Behind the Scenes
Their fear spell will send you running and so can be considered one of the allusions to the end of "The Shadow out of Time" by H.P. Lovecraft. The narrator flees the underground ruins in a dream delirium while falling through a chasm of utter darkness just like the exit of Shadow Valley.
