Revision as of 17:08, 14 February 2026 by SURIAL (talk | contribs) (Switched defense attributes view to defenseattr2, added UDF. (It's the offensive stance UDF; I assume that's the obvious thing to put there. The defensive one is vastly higher, and they do stance def when prepping spells.)

The features of this horror are difficult to make out due to the shifting of its shadowy hide which instantly assumes the color of its surroundings. Despite the strange effect, its eyes glow red and a wave of ethereal light flashes across its mane.

Other information

Shadow mares can shake off stuns, as shown by the following message:

A shadow mare's eyes fade to black momentarily.

Behind the Scenes

Their fear spell will send you running and so can be considered one of the allusions to the end of "The Shadow out of Time" by H.P. Lovecraft. The narrator flees the underground ruins in a dream delirium while falling through a chasm of utter darkness just like the exit of Shadow Valley.
