PERM-ifier

The PERM-ifier allows for items with finite uses to be made permanent. It is an automated machine to make limited use items permanent and only accepts event currency as payment, with the type of currency depending on the event. It originally debuted at Ebon Gate in 2016 and has appeared at Ebon Gate each year since. At Ebon Gate's current Evermore Hollow venue, it is an enruned shadowglass obelisk located inside of the Antiquarian Manor, Garden (8084692) and charges in soul shards.

The PERM-ifier's debut at Ebon Gate 2016 was within Feywrot Mire's Halfway Midway shop. In 2017 at Caligos Isle, there were two obelisks, with each one taking a different type of currency (general tickets and Ebon Gate seashells); the prices for each were the same.

A PERM-ifier can be found at Rumor Woods at Diminishing Demises, where it charges in raikhen.

To use the PERM-ifier, hold an applicable item in your right hand and TOUCH the obelisk. The first touch will tell you the price, the second touch will deduct REDEEMed tickets from your total.

Rumor Woods Raikhen [Diminishing Demises] RNUM: u8209472 Heat radiates from a grand limestone fireplace, its carved mantle adorned with swirling motifs of waves and celestial bodies. An enruned shadowglass obelisk rises from the center of the room, its polished surface inscribed with intricate glyphs that shimmer in the shifting light. Windows capped with keyhole arches line the western wall, their stained-glass patterns casting rippling reflections across the smooth stone floor. Ebon Gate 2022+ Location

Ebon Gate Soul shards [Antiquarian Manor, Garden] RNUM: 31606 Concentric bands of onyx and white tiles encircle an enruned shadowglass obelisk that sits in the center of the garden. Tufted and manicured blue-green grasses form a small lawn around the tiles before giving way to large and small urns filled with flowering bushes and ornamental shrubs. Smooth marble benches are arranged at various points throughout the small garden, each flanked by pebble-filled glossy ebonwood planters housing a variety of orchids. A small patio rests before the manor, offering firm footing before a set of glass-paned doors. Obvious exits: Obvious paths: none

Ebon Gate 2017 Locations

Ebon Gate seashells - Map room 30 [Caligos Isle, Northern Passage] RNUM: 26523 Lying along the edge of the plateau is the spine of some enormous sea creature, its monstrous ribcage resting on the debris-strewn path like an eerie ossified arcade. General tickets - Map room 41 [Caligos Isle, Western Slope] RNUM: 26460 Mostly obscure in the dark, the path solidifes into a hazardous, rocky incline winding its way to higher ground, as opposed to the chaotic mass of scree below. Beneath the starlight, the mica flecks that so pervade the nearby rocks glitter like a reflection of the night sky. Obvious exits: north, south

Ebon Gate 2016 Location

[Halfway Midway, Lost Baubles]	RNUM: 25350
Discarded bottles and lost baubles decorate the tangled bushes that line the edge of the clearing and hold court around their glassy lord. The assortment of trinkets and glass is arrayed around an enruned shadowglass obelisk in an almost reverent display, their smooth or rough edges catching enough of the ambient light to cause it to reflect through the canopy above. Thick clusters of fuzzy green moss occupy most of the ground, though the western edge is decorated with scattered groupings of grass and wheat. You also see a stained black oak sign.
