Banyan, rosewood, and teak tower into the sky, hung with liana vines suspended downward from the limbs above. Closer to the earth, ferns cluster. The smell is damp and musty, ripe with the odor of decaying vegetation, a testament to the constant regeneration of the deep forest. You also see a narrow pathway between two thick trees.

A large face with leaves and branches for hair and glowing blue eyes trailing wisps in the air overlooks a group of companions as they wander down a creek. The first holds a map in an effort to guide them through the woods.

The woodland sprites will be returning in their magical grove of trees, the Circle of Trees, for another festival in the heights! The dates of the 2018 festival are in July.

The festival is accessible from this room in the Monsoon Jungle on Mist Harbor.

Tiny globes of colorful blown glass dangle from the canopy above, scattering rainbow light across wares. A narrow wooden walkway leads further into the treetops, while a rope ladder allows access back down to the ground.

In this room you will find all kinds of siegery miniatures for entertaining friends and frenemies! Gotta collect 'em all!
Tips:
* Be sure to RAISE each piece before you set it down for combat.
* Ballistas and catapults go IN castles.
* PUSH miniatures and FIRE ballistas and catapults to make them attack.
* Other actions you might find useful are TURN and FIX, but do your research - there's lots of info about siegery out there!
Miniature types:
* Sorcerer = doomsayer, disruptor, warlock, witch
* Wizard = elementalist, arcanist, archmage, invoker
* Warrior = raider, destroyer, myrmidon, warlord
READ the NOTICE for even more important information!
~~ These pieces can be altered (base description only), so I will be stopping by to work on them. Enjoy! ~~
In the Common language, it reads:

--- The Game of Siegery ---

The premise of the game is simple: Defeat your opponent through the methods available to you. The most common way the game is played is with the usage of miniature castles -- the first to destroy their opponent's inner keep is the winner. But one may make just about any variation they wish. The following is a listing of units one may employ:

Soldiers:
One may have up to three soldiers to assault an enemy's castle. Soldiers tend to fight other soldiers first, and then assault the castle's outer walls. If the walls have fallen, then the soldiers will either attack any war machines housed within the castle or the inner keep itself. Soldiers are the most versatile of any siegery unit, as their prowess in battle has a chance of increasing if they wage successful campaigns. Soldiers are the weakest of units in terms of taking damage.

This shop offers 3 types of soldiers, however, custom work on a soldier certainly allows for a near infinite variety of professions and skills -- one's imagination is the limit when customization is done. The following is a breakdown of the three units offered:

Sorcerers: Can deal out an impressive amount of damage, but cannot
              sustain large amounts of damage.
Warriors: Can take a decent amount of damage and does a decent
amount of damage to enemy units.
Wizards: Can take some damage and do a fairly good amount of
              damage with their lightning bolts.

War Machines:
War machines come in two varieties -- catapult-type weapons or ballistas. Ballistas tend to be more effective against troops while catapult-based weapons are best for bringing down walls or assaulting the inner keep of an enemy's castle. In order to use war machines, they must be placed within your castle. One can place up to three war machines in their castle.

Castles:
Castles are the main goal of any game of Siegery. From there, one can mount assaults upon the enemy's castle with relative ease. Castles are likely to take quite a bit of damage during a game, and one can remedy some of this damage -- you have the choice to repair the outer walls, the inner keep, or any war machines positioned within the castle. Repairs, of course, will take a bit of time, and won't fix ALL the damage to one's castle. Castles have no innate offensive abilities.

All Siegery pieces will sustain damage throughout combat. This is all a careful illusion achieved through intricate craftsmanship and can easily be remedied by FIXing the specified piece while holding it in one's hand. It WILL take a while to fix a Siegery piece, however, to ensure that a sneaky enemy does not quickly do so during a game. It's generally accepted that during the course of a game, one does not fix their pieces, but rather lets the game run its course.

In this room you will find erithian hairsticks that convert to sai (brawling weapons). All hairsticks cost 100,000 silvers except for the flaring metals which cost 150,000 silvers. All sai are 4 times enchanted except those with quirky enchantments (faenor is +16, imflass is +17, vaalorn is +18).

SLAP the hairsticks to pull them apart into sai. SLAP again to hook them into hairsticks. When the hairsticks are worn, you can PUSH your way through seven hairstyles, or TURN to select one by number. (PUSH MY HAIRSTICK, TURN # MY HAIRSTICK.) Other zests include BOW and TURN with the sai and TAP with the hairsticks. If you're erithian, you'll get some unique flavor with those actions.

Each pair of hairsticks has been given a unique name to represent the wearer's essence. Find an erithian friend to read it for you!

The hairsticks and sai are as follows:

* a pair of rhimar wire-wrapped hairsticks = a pair of gleaming rhimar sai
* a pair of silver-twisted zorchar hairsticks = a pair of serrated zorchar sai with round silver grips
* a pair of scuffed gornar hairsticks bound in copper = a pair of copper-bound gornar sai
* a pair of pearl-adorned faenor hairsticks inlaid with jade = a pair of jade-set faenor sai with barbed prongs
* a pair of imflass-edged hairsticks dipped in electrum = a pair of imflass-edged sai with electrum accents
* a pair of onyx-brushed ora hairsticks with split prongs = a pair of onyx-brushed ora sai
* a pair of rigid mithglin hairsticks with multicolored swirls = a pair of rigid mithglin sai with elaborate multicolored designs
* a pair of diamond-encrusted vaalorn hairsticks = a sharp vaalorn sai with diamond-edged prongs
* a pair of smooth wooden hairsticks with mithril tips = a pair of mithril-edged sai with smooth wooden bases
* a pair of golden vultite hairsticks with black pearl inlay = a pair of golden vultite sai with black pearl prongs

It is advised to stand in another room so the hairsticks for sale don't interfere as you play around with your purchase! There is a mirror one east and one north of here.

Don't Weave It Behind, Nook

[Don't Weave It Behind, Nook]
In the deeper interior of the tree a cozy nook has been carved out, and the rough wood that forms the walls has been smoothed and polished to a faint luster. Pine needles have been woven together to form a roughshod rug upon the floor. A leafy curtain hangs down from the ceiling across the passage leading back out.

Simplistic in design, the interior of the room is lit by strategically placed holes bored into the walls, creating an intricate criss-cross pattern as moonlight streams through their small openings. Yellow-tinged wood, splotched with pale green lichen clusters, adds a natural decorative adornment that complements the mottled brown tones dominating the room. An elaborate wing design has been burned into a thin wooden board, the piece hanging over an oversized trunk fashioned from rough-hewn beech.

Seemingly thrown together in haste, the walls of this small hut are lashed together with bits of string and sinew. Lopsided windows dot two of the walls, while a narrow doorway stands opposite to the entry. [Small Stuff, Entry]
Brilliantly aglow with a dazzling array of lanterns, this tent is spotless. Long wooden shelves run the length of the east and west walls displaying a magnificent assortment of expertly crafted dolls. Below each of the meticulously displayed dolls is a wooden bin filled with the basic models. A small display table sits just inside the doorway while a deep crimson rug edged with intricate gold threading creates a wide central aisle from which patrons can browse the wares. Hanging from the ceiling is an ornate gilt sign.
Obvious exits: north, out
In the Common language, it reads:

Welcome to Small Stuff.
You will find both a male and a female doll in the wooden bin.

Clothing and accessories are placed throughout the shop
and will work with either doll.

Doll traveling trunks allow safe storage for your doll's
clothing/accessories and the doll itself ONLY.

 ~Dubrin
In the Common language, it reads:

Your doll can only be customized by skilled artisans,
and should only wear clothing from this shop,
or shops similar from earlier years.

An important rule: when interacting with your doll,
you will always need it in hand. When adding items,
you will need the item in your free hand.
Trying to manipulate the detailed but very small
clothing cannot be accomplished otherwise.

Adding clothing and accessories to your doll or figurine:
You should DRESS DOLL/FIGURINE WITH ACCESSORY
to put an item of clothing or an accessory on your doll.

Removing items is just as easy:
You should UNDRESS DOLL ACCESSORY.
Notice that you do not need to specify my, with, or at.

I do hope you enjoy your doll for many years to
come.

Tome Alone

an ink-splattered wagon, Room# XX, [Map Room 6], Lich# 21873, go ink-splattered wagon

Tome Alone

[Tome Alone]
Octagonal lanterns hang from the tanik beams of the roof, illuminating the interior of the wagon. Ink stains almost every surface imaginable, creating a colorful assortment of drips, drops, splatters, and in some places, doodles. An ink-stained modwir desk, bolted to the floor, shows an assortment of books on its flat surface. Mounted on the wall is a hammered mithril and ora bin, proudly displaying a number of tubes and cylinders. You also see a tall black ash bookshelf with some stuff on it, the chalk outline of a door on the back wall of the wagon and an elaborate black iron sign.
Obvious exits: out
an elaborate black iron sign
In the Common language, it reads:

Greetings and salutations! Here is a bit of information on my wares.
The scrolls are produced by poorly skilled apprentices. THEY WILL NOT BE INFUSABLE BY A SORCERER. I REPEAT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO INFUSE THEM.
The tubes, cylinders, and cases will only hold scrolls, parchments, papers, vellums, sheets, pages, palimpsests, and the like. Things you can roll up, not books.
The volumes on the desk are for writing down alchemical recipes. They come with a single recipe already inscribed.

In the hammered mithril and ora bin you see:

Trulee's Trinkets

[Trulee's Trinkets]
Nestled into the large trunk of a hollow cedar tree, this small space is surprisingly cool and inviting. Several depressions have been carved into one side wall, creating a ladder which leads upward.

Trulee's Loft

[Trulee's Loft]
Mounds of thick, spongy moss cover the ground in this cozy loft. A large, octagonal lantern hangs from the slightly domed ceiling and sways slightly with the tree's movements. Several depressions have been carved into one side wall, creating a ladder which leads downward. The strong scent of cedar permeates the air.

Unlocking Nature

[Unlocking Nature]
Thatched walls surround this small room with a large opening set for the door and another for a window. Growing across the latter are several layers of flower-laden vines that offer their sweet scent to the room. The wooden floor is covered with a fine layer of pollen and flower petals, and a glass-topped wooden case rests in the center of the room. Hanging from the thatched ceiling above is a woven vine net basket, its contents clearly visible through holes in the netting.

[Unlocking Nature, Knothole]
Dimly lit, this interior room is built directly into the trunk of the tree, its roughly hewn walls exuding the sweet smell of cedar. The only light in the room filters in from a knothole in one wall, and a single small lantern set into a niche in another. A woven grass rug covers the relatively level floor, and a bench has been carved directly in the wall adjacent to the lantern.
