At one time the rotting farmhand would have chosen to be left alone. Now she seeks the company of the living, if only for the short time it takes for her to kill them. Her clothes hang in tatters, waving gently in the breeze as she stumbles about on decaying legs, her putrid flesh barely adhering to her bones. In life the rotting farmhand raised fields of living things. Now her mission seems to be one of filling fields with dead things.

Hunting strategies

These slow creatures do not seem to have the mental capacity for spells and the like. They are a good target if you can withstand their weapon attacks. The most difficult aspect of hunting rotting farmhands is dealing with the more dangerous elder tree spirits and spectral woodsmen who inhabit the same area. A successful rusted pitchfork attack can inflict disease if the target has insufficient resistance.

Combat Messaging

Rusted pitchfork. The pitchfork is a halberd-based polearm, not trident-based.
A rotting farmhand swings a rusted pitchfork at you!
  AS: +257 vs DS: +230 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +96 = +148
... and hits for 14 points of damage!
Blow leaves an imprint on your chest!
Rusted pitchfork with disease.
A rotting farmhand swings a rusted pitchfork at you!
  AS: +263 vs DS: +262 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +81 = +107
... and hits for 2 points of damage!
   Weak slash across chest!
   Slightly less painful than heartburn.
You suddenly feel deathly ill as your body is wracked by a virulent disease!
Health
Diseased! Taking 9 damage per round. Dissipating 3 per round.
