Description
Prayer is a defensive enhancement spell. It provides a base bonus of +10 to spiritual target defense and increases protection against maneuver attacks.
For each rank of Cleric Base spells known:
- the duration of the spell is extended by 60 seconds from its base 1200 second duration.
- a +10 DS bonus is provided at 35 Cleric Base ranks
- the DS bonus is increased by +1 for every Cleric Base rank known over 335.
The mana cost also increases by +1 for every 3 Cleric Base ranks known over 335. (or +1 per 3 DS over 10 DS)
The spell will protect the user from a maneuver if the maneuver is able to be evaded. In addition, it provides an unknown defensive benefit against SMRv2 spells and maneuvers.
Messaging
When casting this spell, the messaging will be different depending upon the caster's CONVERT-chosen deity, except with the rare exception Well of Life (308) where it instead detects the target's deity. Expand the chart below to see all known possibilities. Any missing information can be added at the deity messaging page.
