Laethe, patron of young love and especially lost love, is the twin brother of Voaris.

Where his brother watches over those whose love is forbidden, Laethe watches over those whose love is lost. While Voaris took his parents' passing with a calm acceptance, Laethe never truly learned to cope with their death. Thus, he has an intimate understanding of the pain associated with a loved one gone from one’s life. He works to aid them in whatever way he can, even if it is only to put them at peace with their loss.

Traditionally, worshippers leave notes with their prayers for the hopeful return of their loves in the shrines dedicated to Laethe.

Laethe's preferred humanoid manifestation is that of a young man with black hair, fair skin and sorrowful blue eyes. He most often dresses in plain black attire, unadorned by any jewelry or decoration. In manner, he is compassionate, caring and sad. His symbol is a black rose on a field of purple.

Shrines, Statuary, and Holy Places

Cleric Guilds

Displayed in the Prayer Rooms of each Cleric Guild is a statue of Laethe. These prayer rooms are considered a holy shrine to multiple deities.

Although his physiognomy is identical to that of Voaris, the statue of Laethe is somber and pensive. He is holding a single rose cupped in his hand as if he seeks to protect and preserve it. His attire is as melancholy as his expression, completely devoid of ornament or jewelry.

Wehnimer's Landing Cleric Guild

Located in the Antechamber of Others is a statue of Laethe. This area is not considered a holy shrine.

Somber in appearance, this figurine depicts a young man with black hair, fair skin, and sorrowful blue eyes. His garments are plain and entirely black. The symbol at the figurine's base is a black rose on a field of purple.

Additional information

He is considered the patron spirit of Icemule Trace, due to the tragic history inevitably resulting in the founding of Icemule, as well as the loss of the first town. There are two shrines to Laethe in the vicinity of Icemule, one of which is shared with his brother Voaris.
