Synopsis

Judge Manard comes to announce his ruling on the so-called Trial of the Rooks outside Moot Hall. He says he's listened to nights of trial, received countless letters of reference on behalf of or against, and weighed all events. He says it's important not to let emotions dictate what is right, wrong, and allowed, but it's not to say that the world isn't painted in shades of grey. He draws an example of a boy justifying stealing bread to feed his mother, saying a low was broken, but rhetorically asks if we're a people only of law and rigid lines who suffer no compassion. He says that's not for him to answer publicly nor in these matters.

Manard says some will claim he wasn't appointed properly and is riddled with strings, but he's here to do his job of interpreting the laws, decide innocence or guilt, and decide consequences of the latter. He notes that although it might have come across like an organization on trial, it was actually individuals. He rules:

  • All defendants not guilty of Hooliganism, with no evidence of purposely endangering the town.
  • All defendants not guilty of Endangering Public Safety, with ample evidence that they've defended town from enemies large and small but no evidence that they endangered the public.
  • All defendants not guilty of Treason, with no evidence that any actions they took was for the purpose of undermining the town or overthrowing its leaders and government. He says membership within the Rooks while holding an elected position doesn't constitute treason and, if the populace doesn't wish the two to co-exist, then vote them out.
  • All defendants guilty of Disturbing the Peace, as their actions created conflict, even if involuntarily. His sentence is one week of jail.
  • All defendants except Councilor Kayse guilty of Impropriety and Conspiracy for undergoing secret operations not sanctioned by Mayor Thadston, Marshal Stormyrain, or Steward of the Guard Thrayzar, thus breaking the law and conspiring with a criminal organization to create agreements with an Imperial criminal. His sentence is two years of jail.
  • Regarding the previous, he finds Kayse not guilty due to the Darkstone Bay Consortium assigning her to infiltrate the Rooks. A charity fee has been submitted to the Consortium which will benefit the impoverished, which Amos has agreed to pay, which will settle the debt and punishment for their involvement in Kayse's subterfuge.
  • He agrees to the plea bargain submitted by Mayor Alendrial and Casiphia under which the latter would turn herself in and accept the guilt and punishments of all defendants. Therefore, she has a sentence of ten years and six weeks in jail, which will begin after a proper assessment of her good health.

After Manard leaves, the Ember Vale reivers' emissary Rheshay is spotted in the distance with her mithril claidhmore planted into the ground, signaling parley. By the time Sir Cryheart's group gets there, she's already in a verbal dispute with Nalver about something as he's challenging whether she intends to send warbringers to paint the earth red and she's saying if she wanted to do that, he wouldn't see it coming. Tonight is peace.

Councilor Kiyna asks Rheshay if she also speaks for Tyeid, not just Warchief Haidan; Rheshay seems to imply she doesn't. Rheshay says the reivers have told the Landing their affair is with the Imperial camp, yet the Landing still pours out like red ants to fight; Nazarr and Kelfyr bring up that reivers entered town; Rheshay says anyone who slips beyond their walls deserves what's coming.

Nairena says Tyeid abducted her and asks if Haidan controls Tyeid, while Tikba, Dendum, and Thrassus further elaborate on the situation; Rheshay says they'll address "the Eater," but the Landing stands on no higher ground by continuing to attack the reivers when they're striking at the Empire. She asks if we can at least agree on the krolvin being an enemy now that they've come. Perigourd suggests leaving the Empire alone and we can all live peacefully; Rheshay says there is no peace because the Empire will stretch and stretch until you're no more.

There's movement in the woods. Sir Geijon says the reivers are no friends based on their butchery; Rheshay asks how he can think they're monsters when the Landing freed Tyrrax--then something shoots into her neck. Leafiara, Councilor Vaemyr, Irval, and Dendum seemingly try to unpoison her (OOC note: and can't because they can't cast at a GM NPC, but what we'll really explain it as is...), but Imperial soldiers swarm the area and Commander Sablo marches into view.

Cryheart tells him not to violate the parley, but as Rheshay begins to succumb to the poison, Nalver gets her away to safety! Sablo growls and chases. Via Locate Person spells, it appears that Nalver tries to get Rheshay away from the Voln monastery, but Sablo finds them just outside the Drakes Vanguard headquarters. As people criticize Sablo's move, Nalver brings Rheshay back to Voln again--but Sablo pursues. However, by the time everyone regroups at Voln, Nalver and Rheshay are already gone and Stormy, already having been there, is saying Nalver took her again.

A growling Sablo rushes off while people scatter, but Locate spells no longer work to find Nalver. Eventually Missoni says Winston found them at the Abandoned Inn (OOC note: "Winston" in this case is her own dog, not Walkar's bloodhound). Sablo's soldiers arrive and Rheshay swings, but stumbles and misses in her state. Sablo arrives and knocks out Rheshay, telling her to piss off, then calls Nalver a pissant when this isn't about Icemule; Nalver says Sablo has no jursidiction here. As the soldiers drag Rheshay off, Kelfyr, Cryheart, Missoni, Nazarr, Nairena, Lithyia, Tikba, Stormy, Kiyna, Emperia, and Goldstr criticize Sablo's move. Sablo says they're at war and tells everyone to stop trying to knit socks for every enemy and do their jobs to protect and stop them. Dendum says he's trying, but Sablo keeps moving; Tayler says he's not on Sablo's payroll; Leafi says to stop making an enemy out of every messenger, emissary, and cook.

Log

Idle Chatter

[General] Cryheart asks, "Weather up north?"

[travel]

[General] Lithyia thinks, "Well this will make getting back to town difficult for me."

[Town Square Central] This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see a blood red teardrop-etched scarab, the sparking Dendum disk, the Eneque disk, the Kelfyr disk, a grizzled porcupine, a sinuous bone white serpent that is sitting, the Ketiosin disk, the granite Sluggard disk, some wolifrew lichen, some beige leggings, some wolifrew lichen, some ambrominas leaf, some ambrominas leaf, some wolifrew lichen, some ambrominas leaf, some ambrominas leaf, the Herod disk, the Ehlron disk, a mushroom and potato cake, the Arahnim disk, some wolifrew lichen, the Littlemelody disk, an old well, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin and a round silver-banded barrel.

Also here: Whimweaver Leafiara, Seneschal Dendum, Lord Eneque, Kelfyr, Delyorik who is sitting, Lady Adelynn who is sitting, Ketiosin, Ozmet, Sluggard who is sitting, Eleazzar who is sitting, Lord Herod, Grand Lord Arahnim, Ehlron, Sandur who is sitting, Littlemelody

Leafiara says, "Hmm."

Delyorik asks, "Um... no?"

Leafiara thoughtfully says, "Well, this can't be good."

Speaking curiously to Leafiara, Adelynn asks, "What's that?"

Speaking to Adelynn, Leafiara exclaims, "The storms are early!"

Speaking to Leafiara, Delyorik says, "I just got called a champion. All I do is read."

Speaking wryly to Leafiara, Adelynn exclaims, "And I'm already so sleepy!"

Leafiara muses, "Hopefully it's not an indicator of something amiss at the Reach."

Speaking to Delyorik, Sluggard says, "Undefeated reading champ."

Speaking to Sluggard, Delyorik says, "Fine... I'll take it."

Emperia just arrived.

Emperia sighs.

Speaking curiously to Emperia, Leafiara asks, "Anything wrong?"

Delyorik says, "Alright... I'll go play with bandits for a bit... maybe I'll get a fun read from them."

Speaking to Leafiara, Emperia says, "It is raining...again."

Leafiara says, "Oh."

Speaking to Emperia, Leafiara admits, "I like the rain myself, but..."

Thunder rumbles in the distance.

Cryheart says, "Oh..we in the town square."

Adelynn offhandedly remarks, "Conceals illicit activities."

Speaking amusedly to Cryheart, Missoni asks, "You expected otherwise?"

Vaemyr says, "Stormy."

Speaking to Leafiara, Emperia says, "I suppose I am just less accustomed to it."

Cryheart says, "Good landing."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Ketiosin asks, "Free shower?"

Vaemyr says, "Err well not Stormy, but the weather is stormy."

Speaking amusedly to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Yes, we know."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kiyna asks, "The weather is the Marshal?"

Speaking to Niffly, Sluggard says, "Not that I needs 'em, big brain by meself."

Qistra says, "We winneds."

Irval says, "The stones say the communication of energy from the wound..."

Trial of the Rooks: Verdict

A town crier shouts, "Judge Manard will be outside of Moot Hall in a few moments and announce the verdict of the Trial of the Rooks."

Speaking squeakily to Sluggard, Niffly says, "Impressive flexing."

Leafiara sincerely says, "In case I'm banished tonight, it's been a pleasure, all."

Kelfyr asks, "Preemptive?"

Speaking to Kelfyr, Leafiara says, "Around here? Never."

Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna says, "I didn't think banishment was on the table."

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Speaking to Kiyna, Leafiara ponders, "Oh, right."

Qistra says, "Odds."

Speaking to Kiyna, Vaemyr says, "Well, that wasn't a penalty Thadston was seeking, technically the judge could decide differently if he so thought."

Leafiara muses, "Welll... the rest stands, I guess."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kiyna says, "Fair enough."

Vaemyr says, "But yes, that's pretty unlikely."

[Town Square, East]

Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see the Lithyia disk, the driftwood Nalver disk, a grumpy little gremlin, the Sirona disk, the Thyrabos disk, the Herod disk, the seaweed-covered Nalbon disk, an animated broadsword hovering in mid-air, the Arahnim disk, the skull-shaped Irval disk, the Qistra disk, the Archales disk, the Peche disk, the drake-incised Draelor disk, a massive grey wolf, the sparking Dendum disk, the Emperia disk, the palm frond-shaped Leafiara disk, a silver-tipped smoke grey wolf, a flame-eyed burnished ember fox, an animated flayed gigas disciple, the Kelfyr disk, the Balantine disk, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, the web-draped Missoni disk, a lazy wild dark grey dog, a grizzled porcupine, a large purple wooden barrel, the Moot Hall, a black imperial wagon with a glowing blue-white pylon on it and obvious signs of someone hiding.

Qistra says, "Gus Behave."

Leafiara amusedly says, "Seeing the crowd tonight makes me think these things should happen at this time of night more often."

Sirona whispers something to Drektor.

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Well it's also the day of the huntress, which more people tend to be around."

Lithyia whispers something to Nalbon.

Nalbon says, "Its just rum."

Vaemyr says, "Ok, regardless of what happens, lets try not to let our Judge get assasinated out here."

Lithyia whispers something to Ithilwyn.

Leafiara agrees, "Definitely not."

Lithyia says, "No promises, Vaemyr."

[General] Nickonai thinks, "Might have to migrate back for the conflict that seems to be coming."

Dendum says, "Eh...did not vote for this judge..."

Leafiara earnestly says, "Ready to grab a hurled orb at any time."

Cryheart says, "Ye dinnae want ye to get more time."

Speaking wryly to Leafiara, Adelynn says, "Don't speak it into existence."

Speaking offhandedly to Adelynn, Leafiara says, "It could happen."

Speaking to Dendum, Kiyna says, "Don't really want our interim Judge assassinated either."

Tikba says, "After all, if he were, we would need an interim interim judge."

Speaking to Archales, Qistra says, "Im all outta pies."

Lithyia says, "You can all get wet...not Miss Lithy though."

Nalbon says, "I keep my liqour in that bottle so others wont drink it."

Dendum taps Leafiara lightly on the shoulder.

Speaking to Nalbon, Kelfyr says, "Prevents askance looks from the night watchman as well."

Speaking curiously to Dendum, Leafiara asks, "Yes?"

Dendum traces a finger along the edge of his collar.

Dendum presses a small button at the back of his copper collar, resulting in numerous gears beginning to articulate rods and plates to surround his head. As the motion settles to a stop, his head is covered by the visage of a copper black-beaked rook.

Emperia says, "...I need a parasol, too."

Leafiara nods approvingly at Dendum.

Dendum presses a small button at the back of his copper collar, resulting in numerous gears beginning to stow away the rods and plates surrounding his head. With a final clank and whine of gears, the collar settles back into stillness.

Qistra says, "Perasols are fer gerlz."

Lithyia says, "Stay under my parasol, Guts."

Qistra says, "Yew need ones Gut."

(Lithyia holds her parasol over her and Gutstorm.)

Speaking to Tikba, Vaemyr says, "I was waiting for tonight's verdict first, but I'm hoping that Alendrial get's the judge election setup here soonish as well, although will probably be after the council ones I suspect."

Lithyia says, "The rest of you can get wet...sorry."

Speaking amusedly to Qistra, Adelynn asks, "And you're not one?"

Judge Manard walks out of Moot Hall and faces the crowd.

Qistra says, "Me is jes Qis."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "I think she said not until the first of the year."

>l manard

You see the Judge Manard. He looks at you.

Cryheart says, "Evening, your Honor."

Speaking wryly to Qistra, Adelynn says, "Apparently never learned how to talk, either."

Leafiara cheerfully greets, "Good eve!"

Lithyia crankily says, "Terrible weather..suppose it could be worse."

Speaking wryly to Judge Manard, Adelynn asks, "You decided to have us all stand out in the rain to announce this verdict instead of using the perfectly good assembly room in Moot Hall?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Ish da town shtill lawlesh?"

Herod says, "I am mot interested in seeing the results..."

Judge Manard clears his throat.

Kiyna says, "Declarations outside Moot Hall is a Landing tradition. Weather's usually rotten. Something poetic in there, maybe."

Judge Manard looks around, "Thank you for coming out in this rain. I will be quick, like justice sometimes."

Delyorik says, "Rain is relative. Probably welcome here."

Irval says, "Beats snow."

Goldstr says, "Evenin."

Rasson says, "Probably a good sign we are not standing outside the north gate."

Speaking to Irval, Adelynn concedes, "I'll give you that."

Cryheart says, "Evening."

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "For those interested, Judge Manard is announcing his decision on the trial of the Rooks in front of Moot Hall right now."

Delyorik says, "Nothing beats snow."

Lithyia says, "Oh great... lightning and thunder now."

Judge Manard says, "I have listened to several nights of trial, received countless letters of reference on behalf or against those on trial, and I have taken my time in weighing all events and testimonies."

Speaking to Lithyia, Adelynn teases, "Raise that parasol a little higher, and stand a little closer to Gutstorm."

Dendum asks, "Eh, who wrote all the against letters?"

Dendum asks, "Where is samfelt?"

Judge Manard says, "It is important that in times of not only crisis and danger, but also of peace and order, that we do not let our emotions dictate what is right, what is wrong, and what is allowed."

In a botched imitation, Gutstorm exclaims, "Guilty!"

Gutstorm snaps his fingers.

Speaking to Gutstorm, Delyorik says, "You were never good at that."

Lithyia sarcastically says, "Fraid i cant do that."

Judge Manard says, "But that is not to say our world is not sometimes painted in shades of grey. A boy may justify stealing bread to feed his mother, but the truth that a law was broken still exists."

Judge Manard says, "But are we a people only of law and rigid lines and suffer from no kindness or compassion?"

Thrassus says, "Extenuating circumstances."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "How elsh me gonna shave Leafi if she not guilty."

Delyorik says, "There are times when laws should be bent... but not broken."

Judge Manard says, "That is not for me to answer, not publicly at least, and not in matters such as these." >_error bold in affect at prompt

(Lithyia hurries Axanders towards her parasol.)

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Skip to da bottom?"

Axanders says, "Woah."

Lithyia says, "Stand under here, friend."

Judge Manard says, "Some will claim I am not their Judge and that I was not appointed properly and that I am riddled with strings. But I am here to do my job."

Judge Manard says, "My job is to interpret our laws as they apply to our citizens and our organizations, and to in all ways fairly decide innocence or guilt, and subsequently what consequences would be assigned to the latter."

Adelynn offhandedly remarks, "Strings can always be cut."

Judge Manard says, "While the Parliament of Rooks itself felt like it was on trial, it was in fact several citizens who faced scrutiny for their accused crimes."

Judge Manard says, "When it comes to the charge of Hooliganism, I find the defendants Leafiara, Kiyna, Kayse, Pukk, Chandrellia, and Drektor not guilty. While their actions are questionable, there is no evidence they purposely took action to threaten or endanger the town on purpose."

Nalver says, "You are a hooligan, though."

Speaking quietly to Drektor, Sirona says, "Told ya."

Judge Manard says, "When it comes to the charge of Endangering Public Safety, I find the defendants Leafiara, Kiyna, Kayse, Pukk, Chandrellia and Drektor not guilty. It is without saying that several invasions of our town from enemies large and small have also faced the combined might of these individuals helping to protect our gates and defend the town. That is a stark contrast to the complete lack of evidence provided to justify endangering the public."

Adelynn asks, "Hooliganism?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Adelynn asks, "What on earth did you get up to, and why wasn't I invited?"

Leafiara adds, "...and we're really very good at it too."

Judge Manard says, "When it comes to the charge of treason, I find the defendants Leafiara, Kiyna, Kayse, Pukk, Chandrellia and Drektor not guilty. There is no evidence, only rampant speculation, that any action these individuals took during or before the night of the raid was for the purpose of undermining the town or overthrowing its leaders and government. Membership within the Rooks, and holding an elected position of the town, does not constitute treason. If a populace does not wish for the two to co-exist, then vote them out."

Lithyia quietly says, "Now maybe if Jadedragan would get a trial...since he was banished without one..."

Adelynn incredulously echoes, "Treason?"

Judge Manard says, "When it comes to the charge of Disturbing the Peace, I find the defendants Leafiara, Kiyna, Kayse, Pukk, Chandrellia and Drektor guilty. Without debating intentions and execution, their actions, as members of the Parliament of Rooks, did in fact create situations of conflict and violence, even if involuntarily, which disrupted both peace and order in the town. Evidence has been provided to justify this ruling in the form of testimonies, property damage and unnecessary retaliatory action on the behalf of enemies. Each defendant will serve one week in jail for their crime."

Speaking to Leafiara, Adelynn exclaims, "Now I'm even more disappointed I was left out!"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Send em to jail!"

Lithyia asks, "A week in jail?"

Sirona quietly asks, "What peace did they really disturb?"

Archales says, "Those are very tiny cells."

Speaking to Leafiara, Nalver says, "Quick, gimme the deed to yer ship."

Dendum exclaims, "That is a lot for disturbing something that was not there!"

Judge Manard says, "When it comes to the charge of impropriety and conspiracy, I find the defendants Leafiara, Kiyna, Pukk, Chandrellia and Drektor guilty. In a world of laws, intentions do not excuse the order and process in which a town and its leaders operate and protect itself. By undergoing secret operations not sanctioned by the town mayor, marshal, or steward of the guard, the defendants in question chose to break the law and even conspired within a criminal organization to create agreements with an imperial criminal. I find the defendant Kayse not guilty due to her assignment directed upon her by the Darkstone Bay Consortium."

Leafiara says, "Strange, that was about the one I would have least expected."

Cryheart says, "Make sure to take a shower before serving the time."

Judge Manard says, "A charity fee has been submitted to the Consortium, and Lord Amos has agreed to pay it swiftly to which the impoverished of the town will benefit from, which will settle the debt and punishment for the Consortium's involvement in Kayse's subterfuge. The defendants who were found guilty will all serve two years each in jail for their crime."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Kin leafi sherve a shushpenteded shentinch, she takin ush on boat tomorrow." [OOC note: both Nalver and Gutstorm are referencing that Leafi takes the Drakes Vanguard sailing on her man o' war every Feastday except during Duskruin, Ebon Gate merchant week, and large scale auctions.]

Berost deeply asks, "Who be leadin'?"

Leafiara muses, "Well, see you all in two years. And a week."

Judge Manard says, "While this trial was certainly eventful, it became even more unique when Casiphia, often referred to as Mother, volunteered to a plea bargain to turn herself in and accept the guilt of every defendant on trial and subsequently their punishments if found guilty. Under the proposed arrangement established by Mayor Alendrial and Casiphia, while many Rooks were found guilty, their sentences will be compiled and served by Casiphia, for a total of ten years and six weeks in a Wehnimer's Landing jail. Her sentence will begin upon a proper assessment of her good health."

Tikba says, "Ah."

Thrassus says, "That was the proposed deal she wanted."

Speaking to Tikba, Dendum says, ""Amos is terrible at not wasting silvers."

Leafiara says, "Hm."

The Judge looks on the crowd, "That is my ruling. Goodnight."

Archales asks, "10 years?"

Lithyia exclaims, "Still want to know when Jadedragan gets a trial!"

The Judge turns and enters Moot Hall.

Reviewing the Situation

Nalver asks, "And what if the public does not agree with these sentences?"

Sirona quietly says, "That is ...just."

Leafiara perplexedly says, "Okay."

Dendum says, "Maybe when Amos pays someone off in the Hall."

Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna asks, "What's not to understand?"

Ithilwyn softly asks, "So....Cas is serving them all?"

Lithyia says, "Maybe Amos should strangle himself with that scarf I sent him."

Thrassus says, "That is what Casiphia wanted."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Sho how come Kayse innoshent? Da Darktone Shorshum got no thoritah."

Adelynn says, "That's how it sounds."

Nazarr says, "I've never heard of someone serving time for someone else before."

Speaking to Ithilwyn, Vaemyr says, "That was part of the plea bargain she arranged, and the judge accepted it just now."

Speaking to Kiyna, Leafiara admits, "I'm still not following how we were somehow found not guilty of hooliganism, but guilty of disturbing the peace."

Speaking to Nalver, Kelfyr says, "Vote in the election of the Judge, when it begins."

Leafiara says, "Hooliganism is, like... I mean..."

Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna says, "That puzzles me a bit, too."

Nairena curiously asks, "Whats going on here?"

Leafiara asks, "Almost the entire town is guilty of that?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "It was from Thadston's definition of it, one is based on intent, the other is not."

Cryheart says, "Judge Manar just rendered his judgement from the trial."

Geijon says, "No one was found guilty besides Casiphia."

Cryheart says, "Trials."

Axanders says, "Back to the hunt."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Hoogliginition required the intent to do harm, while the other is if harm was done as a result of actions regardless of intent."

Speaking to Geijon, Kelfyr says, "They were, however a plea bargain was agreed upon."

Speaking to Leafiara, Dendum asks, ""So...who is now mother?"

Nalbon says, "Thats good, for him as well."

Speaking to Leafiara, Nairena asks, "Did you tell them about my abduction and dismemberment?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Okay... well, in that case, Tyrrax returning is probably a problem."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Geijon says, "I arrived late, but details stand it sounds."

Speaking mildly to Dendum, Tikba says, "Perhaps they will hold a vote."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "I wasn't on that jury."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara agrees, "Neither was I."

Nalbon says, "Glad youre not in jail."

Rheshay's Parley

A flash of lightning illuminates the wooded hills near Darkstone Castle. A lone woman stands at the top of the hillside, a mithril claidhmore before her and wedged into the ground. Rain soaks her tanned skin and bald head.

Speaking to Tikba, Dendum remarks, ""Perhaps...would be helpful to have a Mother to decide one way or the other eh?"

Khiya asks, "Who is that?"

Vaemyr says, "Oh great."

Leafiara curiously says, "Oh, haven't seen her in a while."

Lithyia says, "Heh, I'm not going up there."

Kiyna says, "It's Rheshay."

Cryheart says, "Trouble."

Speaking to Geijon, Kelfyr says, "Five defendents guilty on two counts each, but a plea bargain by Casiphia to serve the time on behalf of those found guilty."

Leafiara recites:

"Everyone join Cryheart?"

Gutstorm recites:

"Do we gotta?"

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara says, "Nah, it's still a free town."

[General] Saxson thinks, "Impressive woman."

Cryheart says, "Guess we head to the Wooded hills."

Tikba says, "It is best not to touch the claidhmore."

[General] Rheshay thinks, "Aye, I am, and dinnae ye forget it."

Cryheart says, "All get ready."

[General] Leafiara affably thinks, "We'll be along shortly."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "We shall be coming to speak with ye soonish."

Emperia asks, "Is this woman hostile to us...?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Ye all goin off ta battle?"

Cryheart says, "Depends."

Speaking to Emperia, Leafiara says, "Well... sort of? She's a messenger for Haidan the warchief."

Kelfyr whispers to the group, "Ok, hands off the claidhmore this time, eh?"

Cryheart says, "But we headed to speak with her soon."

Leafiara says, "But in the past she's come for parley."

Qistra says, "Yew should go to da bar."

Dendum says, "The sword in ground is signal for talking."

Missoni says, "Her sword in the ground symbolizes that she is there peacefully."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "We got our own Warshef."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Dat guy."

Cryheart asks, "All ready?"

Lithyia says, "Well, try not get yourselves killed."

Archales says, "I'm not even armed."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Have fun shtormin da cashtle."

Cryheart says, "Moving out."

[travel]

Speaking to Archales, Qistra says, "Ya got me."

[Lower Dragonsclaw, Wooded Hills]

This face of the hill is completely bare of trees, and doesn't even have many bushes. You notice that even the bird and insect noises are gone, leaving you with an eerie silence, broken only by the wind. Off the side of the trail, you notice a depression in the hillside, with a dark pit at the bottom. You also see a flame-eyed burnished ember fox, an animated flayed gigas disciple, the driftwood Nalver disk, a grumpy little gremlin and the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs. Also here: Whimweaver Leafiara, Sir Balantine, Squire Missoni, Kelfyr, Rasson, Stormyrain, Warchief Archales, Qistra, Irval, Grand Lord Arahnim, Sirona, Lord Thyrabos, Tikba, Magister Raelee, Lord Thrassus, Forreya, Nazarr, Goldstr, Khiya, Renowned Lady Sraven, Orgamor, Sir Geijon, Lady Nairena, Sister-in-arms Mourdeyan, Bellaja, Sir Cryheart, Town Councilor Kiyna, Town Councilor Vaemyr, Nalver, Perigourd, Rheshay

Rheshay asks, "Do ye need a lass to tell ye when to piss and squat too?"

Rheshay peers quizzically at Nalver.

Speaking cheerfully to Rheshay, Leafiara greets, "Good eve--"

Speaking to Rheshay, Nalver asks, "Well, what is your intent around here? Summon somemore warbringers to paint our earth red?"

Qistra says, "Wish Olgre was heres."

Leafiara muses, "Well, this is off to a start."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Wooded hils area."

Rheshay says, "If I want'd to paint ye in blood, ye'd not see it comin'."

Tikba politely greets, "Rheshay."

Speaking to Rheshay, Kiyna says, "I have a question for you."

Rheshay leans on her claidhmore.

Tikba says, "Well met in peace, tonight."

Rheshay peers quizzically at Kiyna.

Perigourd says, "Surely not, we've little experience in such things."

Speaking to a slender smokey grey mouse, Qistra says, "Gus behave."

Speaking to Rheshay, Nalver says, "You should talk to one of these new feeling empaths. Might be able to remove that bitterness from your soul."

Speaking to Rheshay, Kiyna asks, "I know you speak for Haidan. Do you also defend Tyeid?"

Rheshay says, "Peace tanigh', I can tell ye that."

Rheshay says, "I speak fer Haidan, he is my chief."

Rheshay says, "The krol have come."

Leafiara agreeably says, "Peace."

Speaking to Rheshay, Vaemyr says, "Does he wish for peace then? Because if not, I imagine this might be a short conversation."

[General] Nalver thinks, "A group of convicted criminals, imperial colonists, and a reiver meet on a hill during a rainstorm."

Vaemyr says, "They sure have, we killed quite a few last night."

Speaking angrily to Rheshay, Nairena says, "Tyeid abducted me last night."

[General] Leafiara asks, "Another day in the Landing?"

[General] Directed to Nalver, Stormyrain thinks, "And you're one of them."

[General] Delyorik thinks, "Pretty much."

Tikba says, "Indeed, they sought your people."

Rheshay says, "We have told ye our affair is wit' yer shiny kin in the camp. Not within ye walls. But ye still pour out like little red ants ta figh'."

[General] Nalver thinks, "Not sure if this a joke, a horror story, or about to be a great drama."

Speaking angrily to Rheshay, Nairena asks, "Does your chief control that shaman?"

Rheshay glances at Nairena.

Nazarr says, "There were reivers in town last night, Rheshay."

[General] Delyorik thinks, "A combination of all three."

Speaking to Rheshay, Vaemyr says, "Your little blood spider shaman kidnaps our citizens from our town, as long as you harbor him, there is zero chance of peace."

Rheshay says, "If me kin slip beyond yer walls, dey deserve what's comin'."

Speaking to Rheshay, Kelfyr says, "Your people continue to assail the walls of the town as well."

Tikba mildly says, "We had hoped you had come to discuss the return of our friend Nairena's things, which Tyeid saw fit to borrow."

[General] Directed to Stormyrain, Nalver thinks, "I'm mearly a spectator to what goes on around here. Except for Prickles. She's sort of involved in something, I guess."

Rheshay nods at Lithyia.

Tikba says, "The spiders took her from within our walls."

Lithyia nods at Rheshay.

Speaking to Vaemyr, Nalver asks, "Blood spider shaman?"

Lithyia sheathes a vultite Niima's-embrace engulfed around the hilt by nacre kraken tentacles into one of the slots on her leather bandolier. A brief shimmer of lagoon blue light erupts from inside the bandolier along with a muffled gurgle.

Speaking to Nalver, Vaemyr says, "Tyeid."

Speaking to Nalver, Perigourd says, "Tyeid."

Speaking to Rheshay, Dendum says, ""Your shaman is seen as one without honor."

Speaking to Rheshay, Thrassus says, "The shaman sliced her apart like she was some sort of slaughtered game."

Lithyia gazes up into the heavens.

Rheshay says, "We will address the Eater."

Speaking angrily to Rheshay, Nairena says, "He wears an amulet made from one of my eyes and his belly is filled with my hand he ripped from my arm."

Nalver says, "Ahh. Thought you were talking about that Arachne priest."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Nalver says, "That one caught fire and..."

Speaking to Rheshay, Kiyna says, "We will address the Eater now, then."

Rheshay says, "But ye stan' and no high'r ground than we do."

Archales whispers something to Qistra.

Rheshay says, "Ye continue to press inta our kin when we strike the Empire."

Tikba neutrally says, "If you would have it so."

[General] Directed to Nalver, Stormyrain thinks, "Yet you were the first person to greet Rheshay with your statements and comments, not sure I would agree you are a spectator."

Leafiara agrees, "Well, some here certainly do."

Speaking to Rheshay, Vaemyr says, "Then stop doing so, and that won't happen."

Rheshay asks, "Now tha krol come, perhaps that is an enemy we can agree upon, nae?"

Speaking to Rheshay, Perigourd says, "Perhaps just leave the empire alone, and they'll do likewise with you, and we can all live peacefully."

Rheshay begins chuckling at Perigourd!

Cryheart says, "Aye, Rheshay."

[General] Berost asks, "Where did we end up?"

Cryheart says, "Focus on the krol."

Speaking to Rheshay, Tikba says, "We had a very similar conversation with the krolvin, about you."

Lithyia whispers something to Dendum.

Thrassus says, "The Empire is an ally to the town. This has been stated by the town government repeatedly."

Speaking to Perigourd, Nalver says, "Perhaps the empire should go back to their borders from a few hundred years ago."

Rheshay says, "Thar is no peace wit' da empire. They will stretch, an' stretch, until ye are nae mer."

Speaking to Perigourd, Nalver says, "So everyone is happy and at peace."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "We're in the Wooded Hills of the Lower Dragonsclaw."

[General] Directed to Berost, Stormyrain thinks, "Wooded Hills, by the depression in the hillside."

Sablo's Interruption

There is movement in the woods.

Speaking to Raelee, Thrassus says, "I count the Mayor as government, yes."

Speaking to Rheshay, Geijon says, "We pleaded with Haiden. You are no friends of any of us based on your butchery. Common grounds against th' Krolvin? Lost."

Dendum says, "Protect the messenger."

Rheshay glares at Geijon.

Geijon turns to face Rheshay.

Speaking to Rheshay, Perigourd asks, "Did the Krolvin say the same of the Reivers when their empire was just as grand?"

Rheshay asks, "Ye think we monst'rs? But ye free da krol?"

Speaking to Rheshay, Geijon says, "We eradicate th' Krol too."

Speaking to Rheshay, Geijon says, "You miscalculated."

There is a faint whistle nearby. Rheshay suddenly brings her hand to the side of her neck.

Rheshay blinks.

Speaking to Rheshay, Missoni agrees, "I would prefer the krolvin dead, as well."

Leafiara says, "I think you believe we're a monolithic entity, but we actually have our many disagreements, like you with your Eater--"

Dendum says, "Bad job protecting the messenger."

Perigourd says, "Great."

[Leafi tries to unpoison, but...]

A soft, white glow briefly surrounds you as you focus your thoughts on the UnPoison spell...

Your spell is ready.

Provoking a GameMaster is not such a good idea.

Sirona quietly says, "Uh oh."

Rheshay clenches her claidhmore and snarls, spinning around, backing up.

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Hey, no killin da meshincher."

Tikba urgently says, "We are peaceful here."

Geijon says, "Attack us and die."

Kiyna says, "Be wary."

Tikba says, "If something struck you, it was not from our party."

Speaking to Tikba, Stormyrain says, "We are, but someone is not."

Leafiara tentatively says, "Hmm."

Cryheart says, "Defend."

Rheshay suddenly stumbles for no apparent reason.

Vaemyr says, "Could be Krolvin, or Remants."

Nairena says, "I just want Tyeid to show his ugly face. I will decorate my home with his head."

Thrassus says, "Cure her of that poison."

Stormyrain asks, "Is there a healer that can look at Rheshay?"

Speaking to Rheshay, Perigourd says, "You may have been poisoned."

Cryheart says, "Empath."

Vaemyr gestures while calling upon the lesser spirits for aid...

Irval whispers arcane incantations, and the air about him swirls with ghostly wisps of power.

Dendum gestures while calling upon the lesser spirits for aid...

[OOC note: no casts go through for probably the same reason, so I handwave it away as...]

Leafiara says, "She'll have to agree to the help."

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

Rheshay snarls menacingly!

Dendum exclaims, "Drop the Sanctuary!"

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Leafiara says, "We're not here to battle."

Nairena says, "Woah."

Rheshay spits at the imperial soldiers.

Speaking in Giantman, Irval exclaims something you don't understand.

[Leafi drops the sanctuary]

Commander Sablo just came marching in.

Cryheart says, "Dinnae attack the imperials."

The sense of peace and security passes away from the area.

Sraven says, "Reshay is in perfect health."

Tikba smoothly says, "This is a peaceful parlay, Sablo."

Thrassus says, "Was."

Tikba firmly says, "Is still."

Cryheart says, "We are having a parley, Sablo."

Cryheart says, "Dinnae violate that."

Speaking to Rheshay, Geijon says, "Considering you may be poisoned the correct response might be to let you figure it out. You've been offered succor, but reacted to....ah Sablo."

Rheshay snarls and tries to move away, her eyes drooping and her speech slurring as she curses. Sablo hurls a tomahawk near her feet and it wedges into the ground infront of her.

Nalver gently takes hold of Rheshay's hand.

Rheshay falls over.

Gutstorm pulls Rheshay to her feet.

Speaking to Nalver, Dendum says, "Now."

Leafiara tries to pull Rheshay toward her.

Nalver's group blurs into a white fog and vanishes!

Sablo snarls menacingly!

Thrassus says, "At least they are taking her alive."

Leafiara says, "Nalver on top of things, it would seem."

Commander Sablo just went southeast.

Kiyna asks, "...You attack an emissary?"

[Locate Person spell]

[Wehnimer's, Exterior]

You are standing on the eastern shore of the Locksmehr River at the point where it rushes out of the great river gates of Wehnimer's Landing. The twin guard towers that protect the gates rise far above the beach, perhaps as much as fifty feet above the level of the water. The heavy sea gates that span the river have been magnificently crafted so that they can be closed quickly and easily to prevent unwanted intrusions by seafaring craft. You also see the driftwood Nalver disk and a grumpy little gremlin.

Also here: Rheshay, Nalver

Thrassus says, "Or was."

Perigourd blurs into a white fog and vanishes!

Stormyrain mutters, "Spectator indeed."

Dendum's group blurs into a white fog and vanishes!

Cryheart says, "Well..that was quick."

Goldstr exclaims, "We be at Peace here!"

Sirona quietly says, "Hmm."

Mourdeyan asks, "Where'd she go?"

Leafiara says, "We're definitely at peace here with both Rheshay and Sablo gone."

Stormyrain says, "Nalver took her."

Kelfyr says, "Dendum and Nalver took her."

Cryheart says, "Soldiers took her."

Seneschal Dendum just moved quietly into the area, his group following closely.

Speaking to Cryheart, Stormyrain says, "Nalver took her."

Mourdeyan says, "Egads."

Cryheart asks, "What?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Sablo got her agin."

Nazarr says, "Oh, that will go over well."

Vaemyr says, "Nalver took her."

Leafiara says, "Sablo seems to have found them."

Goldstr exclaims, "We needs speak to Elidal bout dis to have Sablo stand down!"

Nairena asks, "What just happened??"

Speaking to Nairena, Leafiara says, "...still to be determined."

Kelfyr asks, "Does he still take Elidal's orders?"

Nairena says, "That reiver never answered my question."

Leafiara says, "I think they're due north, not south..."

Leafiara says, "Unless you're trying to get to Elidal."

[Imperial Campsite]

Stumps pepper the spacious clearing, as stacked logs leave evidence of their recent removal. A grove of trees surrounds the area, leaving a natural palisade to add some security to the campsite. You also see a steel-roofed huge wooden tower, a polished bronze lantern mounted on a wooden post and a wide dirt-covered trail.

Rheshay groans.

Speaking to Sablo, Kiyna says, "Are you out of your mind? You've attacked an emissary during a parley! You prove yourselves to be everything they call you."

Nalver's group blurs into a white fog and vanishes!

Tikba mildly says, "I suppose if the men of the Empire will support you in this, there is little I can do."

Leafiara says, "Hm."

Lithyia asks, "Now does everyone see what they are like?"

Leafiara says, "That... seems like a fairly poor escape plan considering our location, but."

Irval says, "That wasnt a parley, that was her trying to dictate terms."

Irval says, "We have already denied."

Sablo growls ferociously!

Commander Sablo just went south.

[Courtyard]

A well maintained and healthy garden occupies the entirety of the courtyard. The air here is cool and crisp, but the bulk of the monastery shelters you from wind and makes the air bracing instead of chilling. In the center of the garden is a natural spring bubbling up several inches above the surface of the encircling pool of crystal clear water. A large stone and iron gate blocks the entrance to the monastery flanked by a statue of a woman carrying a crystal staff and a set of crystalline keys facing a second statue of a kneeling young man bedecked in battle-worn black chain armor. You also see a black mastiff, a silver-tipped smoke grey wolf, the Archales disk, the Balantine disk, a haggard grey-haired gnoll, the Kelfyr disk, the Orgamor disk, the Thyrabos disk, the Geijon disk, the web-draped Missoni disk, the Sirona disk, a lazy wild dark grey dog, the flaming Nairena disk, the Emperia disk, the Qistra disk, the Arahnim disk, a grizzled porcupine, the Aetheris disk, the Evernin disk, a scorched black marble bench with some stuff on it and a large fel tree.

Also here: Whimweaver Leafiara, Commander Sablo, Sir Cryheart, Kelfyr, Squire Missoni, Sir Balantine, Rasson, Stormyrain, Warchief Archales, Qistra, Grand Lord Arahnim, Sirona, Lord Thyrabos, Magister Raelee, Lord Thrassus, Forreya, Nazarr, Goldstr, Khiya, Orgamor, Sir Geijon, Lady Nairena, Sister-in-arms Mourdeyan, Bellaja, Emperia, Tikba, Aetheris who is kneeling, Evernin

Tikba gestures.

A sense of peace and calm settles over the area.

Tikba's faewood crosier pulses with a white-blue light!

Stormyrain says, "Nalver took her, again."

Leafiara asks, "Hmm.. is he even capable of undoing poison?"

Tikba mildly says, "I fear he is hard to find, now."

Stormyrain shrugs at Leafiara.

Speaking to Sablo, Geijon says, "Voln is not often our refugees in conflict. It's a last resort or bastion."

Sablo growls ferociously!

Stormyrain says, "He's just a spectator."

Commander Sablo just went west.

[travel, but Locate Person spells no longer work]

Cryheart says, "Nalver has no idea the trouble he will be in."

Nairena asks, "Nalver knows the Reiver with the claid?"

Kelfyr says, "Not sure he cares either."

Cryheart says, "No."

Cryheart says, "He just took her away."

Thrassus says, "I think he does, and it might be why he's doing this."

Leafiara speculates, "Well, if our locating magic isn't working, I'd surmise that Rheshay could have opened a path into the Ember Vale for him."

Leafiara says, "Him being Nalver."

Stormyrain says, "Or he's unpresenced himself."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Perigourd says, "More likely."

[General] Sablo thinks, "Soldiers, search far and wide, find the reiver rat and the wood elf."

Nairena says, "Well he did prevent bloodshed."

Nairena says, "Sort of."

Cryheart says, "Still cannae sight him."

Tikba politely says, "He did not unpresence himself."

Thrassus says, "Sablo was trying to capture her alive."

Leafiara says, "I'm not aware of what types of magic Nalver knows, so I can't speak to that." [OOC note: Leafi probably should be aware, considering how often he and the other Drakes are aboard her ship constantly. I, however, couldn't remember in the heat of the moment.]

Tikba says, "He does not have the knowledge."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Ah."

Missoni says, "Winston has found them."

Sraven says, "Sablo threathen Nalver."

Missoni says, "In the Abandoned Inn."

Cryheart asks, "So Nalver chooses one who has been involved with killing citizens?"

Nairena asks, "The reiver showed herself to us for peaceful talks, right?"

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Well, even so, that's not necessarily sufficient to write it off... we can imbed the spells, after all."

[General] Rheshay thinks, "Ye...fmdm...nae...fi...."

Cryheart says, "Spiders as ye recall."

[General] Nikolaii asks, "Expecting trouble?"

Missoni says, "The Abandoned Inn."

Nazarr says, "All right, let's head to the Abandoned Inn."

Sraven says, "Cowards just walked off, i followed awhile but lost em."

Speaking to Tikba, Stormyrain says, "He very well may have a scroll or have someone else with him who does."

[General] Thrassus thinks, "He's a councilor of Icemule Trace, in case you weren't aware."

[travel]

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly thinks, "Yood yoo werdsh Rheshay."

[General] Missoni thinks, "Winston found them in the Abandoned Inn."

[General] Sablo thinks, "Of course he is."

Thyrabos says, "Sight who was with him then."

[General] Dendum thinks, "Err Sablo think saw soldiers running south."

[Upper Trollfang]

The narrow road ends here in the courtyard of a rambling structure that appears to be a prosperous inn. The thanot door keeps the guests safe from the dangers of weather and creature. The footprints that mark the dirt don't look like they were made by anyone you'd care to meet on a moonlit stroll, making the inn a welcome haven. You also see a hill troll, a flame-eyed burnished ember fox, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, the web-draped Missoni disk, a hill troll, an animated flayed gigas disciple, a lazy wild dark grey dog, a thanot door and a clump of bushes.

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

A rugged imperial soldier just arrived!

Speaking to Rheshay, Leafiara says, "If you need help with the poison--"

Speaking to Tikba, Missoni says, "He has an excellent tracking ability."

[General] Irval thinks, "Uh No, they were killed."

Rheshay put a praying white ora figurine in her tartan pack.

Tikba asks, "Is the intention, then, to aid Sablo in capturing Rheshay, when she came to parlay?"

Rheshay stands up.

Tikba says, "I am eager to know your intentions."

Speaking wryly to Tikba, Leafiara asks, "It's the Landing. Is there ever a universal intention?"

Cryheart says, "That is another discussion."

Tikba says, "It seems the only discussion."

Rheshay swings at a soldier but stumbles and misses.

Nazarr says, "Actually, we just wanted to know if she was all right."

Speaking to Tikba, Vaemyr asks, "Who are you asking?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Ye shafe Rheshay?"

Cryheart says, "Speak Rheshay if ye are able."

Commander Sablo just came marching in.

Lithyia asks, "What happened to her?"

Tikba mildly says, "I had thought to hold a vote."

Speaking to Nazarr, Leafiara agrees, "Well, that's why I'm here at least, yes..."

Rheshay says, "Sle...slo..."

Rheshay kneels down.

Thrassus says, "She is drugged from the dart."

Perigourd says, "Indeed."

Speaking to Sablo, Sraven says, "Coward."

Cryheart says, "She was poisoned or darted to drug her."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me unpoison her?"

Gutstorm forms several angular gestures while chanting rumbling phrases of power in the Dwarven tongue...

Kiyna says, "This is absurd. We do not attack and capture emissaries who have agreed to a peaceful meeting."

Sablo slams the back of his tomahawk into Rheshay's head and she collapses with a thud.

Speaking to Rheshay, Leafiara says, "We can help with the poison if you'll let us, at least."

Rheshay falls over.

Leafiara says, "...and never mind."

Sablo says, "Piss off."

Sablo says, "...and you...."

Sablo glances at Nalver.

Kelfyr says, "This is madness."

Cryheart says, "We hae a parley going Sablo."

Speaking to Sablo, Missoni says, "Surely that is unnecessary."

Sablo says, "This isn't over Icemule pissant."

Thrassus says, "She's unconscious."

Speaking to Sablo, Nalver says, "This is my land now."

Speaking to Sablo, Nalver says, "And you have no jurisdiction here."

Tikba mildly says, "Yes, this is Wehnimer's Landing."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Leafiara says, "The Landing indeed..."

Speaking to Sablo, Nazarr says, "You're an idiot. She came to parley."

The soldiers drag off Rheshay, and they are not kind now as they glare at Nalver.

Kelfyr says, "You walking throbbing sore of a man."

Speaking to Sablo, Nairena asks, "You know what parley means right?"

Cryheart says, "This area is nae within the Landing jurisdiction."

Lithyia says, "Sablo... you're scum."

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain asks, "Where are they taking her?"

Lithyia says, "I knew that already though....now others can see it too."

Tikba says, "Rheshay came to parlay with the Landing."

Speaking to Nalver, Thrassus says, "Ah yes, that theocratic empire nonsense."

Speaking to Sablo, Nalver asks, "You know how we settle disputes on my lands?"

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain says, "You are putting the Landing at risk through these actions."

Tikba says, "I suppose the Empire had other intentions."

Speaking to Sablo, Kiyna asks, "Is this how the Barony of Darkstone does things, hm?"

Cryheart says, "We hae a parlay, Sabloe, to discuss the krols."

Speaking to Sablo, Emperia says, "How foolish of you."

Speaking to Nalver, Stormyrain snaps, "Will you start being a spectator, for once?"

Speaking to Sablo, Goldstr exclaims, "Ye now makin Landin enemies!"

Speaking to Nalver, Sraven says, "His fight is unfair."

Lithyia asks, "Do you all see now?"

Irval says, "They came to Parlay with landing. But Sablo does not represent landing."

Speaking to Thrassus, Nalver says, "Hardly. I claimed this land here with the same claim as the empire did in Lower Dragonsclaw."

Lithyia asks, "Or will you still be blind?"

Sablo says, "You can break bread and piss tea all you want with reivers. They are our enemies. There is no peace with them. We are at war. Stop trying to knit a sock for every enemy and do your damn jobs and protect and stop enemies."

Irval says, "So he didn't break any agreement of parley."

Sablo spits.

Lithyia says, "Oh i'll knit a noose for your neck."

Speaking to Sablo, Dendum says, ""Trying to but you keep moving."

Sablo says, "Grifflets, reiver butchers, it's all the same to you. Idiots."

Cryheart says, "Ye are overreaching, Sabloe."

Speaking to Sablo, Tayler says, "Last I checked I wasn't on your payroll."

Sablo points his blue tomahawk at Nalver.

Thrassus says, "He has a point."

Cryheart says, "There is a friendly Reiver clan."

Commander Sablo just marched off to the southwest.

Discussion Afterward

Leafiara says, "Stop making an enemy out of every random messenger, emissary, and cook and--"

Nairena says, "I hope they surround your emcampment and it burns to the ground."

Tikba says, "Well."

Kiyna asks, "Does Elidal know this happened?"

Tikba says, "I suppose the vote will not be necessary."

Kelfyr asks, "Would he care?"

Goldstr exclaims, "Ye may soon be one a our enemys!"

Mourdeyan says, "Bad idea."

Cryheart says, "Killing innocent imperials is not the way."

Dendum says, "Eh good thing we had talked her into dealing with the Shaman."

Cryheart asks, "Hae ye all become murderers as well?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Cryheart, ye no wanna shee dish, should take da group back to town."

Speaking to Cryheart, Nairena says, "Still mad. Dont judge until one of your eyes becomes a piece of neck jewelry."

Speaking to Cryheart, Nalver says, "And poisoning people then arresting them during a parlay shows the trustworthiness of the empire."

Speaking to Cryheart, Stormyrain asks, "Shall we see if we can find the young Baron?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Nalver says, "No one can ever trust the empire again."

Sirona quietly asks, "Yeah where is Elidal?"

Lithyia says, "This is why some of us have been telling you we want the empire gone."

[General] Rysul thinks, "Nikolaii did you go on the Rysk hunts."

Lithyia asks, "Will you listen now?"

Tikba politely corrects, "Not a baron."

Cryheart says, "Back to camp."

Dendum says, "Rich merchant son."

Geijon says, "I doubt most of you can see all th' angles and everyone needs to take a moment."

Cryheart says, "One apple does not mean the whole barrel is rotten."

[travel]

Irval says, "They were not there to parley wit the empire. Sablo broke no rules. He's been out tracking them. Then he came upon us talking with the very ones he was ordered to track."

Goldstr exclaims, "Sablo DO be a bad Apple!"

Kelfyr says, "And yet that apple keeps being placed back in the barrel."

Bellaja says, "People! Please stop. This frantic shouting and sudden moves do nothing to help."

Tikba mildly says, "Then we shall see what the owner of the barrel thinks."

Speaking quietly to Goldstr, Sirona says, "Seems to be."

Tikba says, "We must see what sort of apple he prefers."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara agrees, "Indeed."

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Lylia am need help!"

[Realm] Geijon thinks, "Sablo you continue to show your experience."

Speaking to Tikba, Perigourd says, "I imagine he wants his people to survive, much as the Landing does."

[Imperial Campsite]

Open wagons display weapons, clothing, and various goods for sale, allowing browsers to easily peruse the merchandise. Shopkeepers tend to their wares and busy themselves creating a bustling atmosphere in this makeshift town. You also see a scruffy bald butcher.

Geijon asks, "What and who are we looking for?"

Speaking to Perigourd, Tikba says, "And perhaps he is happy to endanger the Landing to accomplish that goal, as much as is necessary."

Cryheart yells, "Lord Elidal, ye about?"

Leafiara says, "Doesn't look like he's about, at least."

Speaking to Perigourd, Tikba says, "But we must hope not."

Vaemyr says, "I don't think so."

Geijon says, "One would hope."

Nazarr says, "I thought that maybe we came here to burn the camp to the ground."
