God of Combat and Bloodlust

V'tull is the champion of the dark gods. Almost single-minded in his goal of bloodletting for its own sake, the sight of the life's blood of any creature seems to fill V'tull with ecstasy. Given his nature, he has spent all of his efforts in perfecting his fighting abilities and in using them at every opportunity.

While all of the gods rarely manifest themselves among mortals, V'tull does so more often than most. He regularly enters into the bodies of warriors, whose eyes are said to turn black as night when this happens, and turns them into killing machines. His willingness to divinely inspire assures that his devotees among the martial classes are many, even where his worship is prohibited by those who fear their warriors will turn against them.

V'tull's preferred humanoid manifestation is that of a man with marble white skin and coal black eyes who towers over everyone he meets. He is always dressed in armor so stained with blood that its true color cannot be known. In manner, he is determined, righteous, obsessive and vengeful. His symbol is a black scimitar on a field of red.

Cleric Guilds

Displayed in the Prayer Rooms of each Cleric Guild is a statue of V'tull. These prayer rooms are considered a holy shrine to multiple deities.

>touch V'Tull
You reach out and touch the statue of V'Tull.

A chill runs down your spine, as if you had briefly caught V'Tull's dread attentions.

Wehnimer's Landing Cleric Guild

Located in the Antechamber of Lornon is a table inset with fist-sized seals depicting all of the Lornon arkati, including one for V'tull. This area is not considered a holy shrine.

A black scimitar on a field of red is painted on the golden seal of V'tull.

Ta'Vaalor Cleric Guild

One of the Chambers of Lessons in the Ta'Vaalor Cleric Guild is dedicated to V'Tull. The statue is identical to that in the other Cleric Guilds. It is considered a holy shrine.

[Lornon Hall, Chamber of Lessons]
Scores of viciously slashed black silk banners flutter silently upon the walls in this large, round chamber. The domineering presence of a statue to the south casts a long, foreboding shadow across the flawless white surface of the floor. A feral snarl is etched upon the man's features, and his heavily-muscled form is captured in mid-attack, his scimitar raised upwards in a slashing arc. A small, cloth-draped altar stands beneath the statue.
Obvious exits: north
>look altar
Crafted of deep black marble, the altar is draped with an altar-cloth of dark crimson velvet embroidered with a ragged black scimitar. An open book rests atop the altar.

>read book
In the Common language, it reads:

Kharam Dzu Cleric Guild

One of the Halls of Lessons in the Kharam Dzu Cleric Guild is dedicated to V'Tull. The statue is identical to that in the other Cleric Guilds. It is considered a holy shrine.

[Cleric Guild, Hall of Lessons]
Waves of scorching heat distort the air into a vicious blur, and the hall is soaked with an angry crimson glow from the surrounding lava. Standing at the edge of the small island which keeps you safe from the magma's reach is a white marble statue of a man with solid black eyes, and scimitar in hand. Curiously, no altar sits before the statue, only a jagged steel greatsword pointed back toward the way you came. Marked in bold letters upon the floor above the massive sword's hilt is an inscription.

Major Sanctuary (220)
Your senses are overwhelmed with the sound of war chants and the cry of pit fighters as the world around you blurs...
[Gladiator's Cell Sanctuary]
Stone benches lay in a scattered arrangement upon a dusty floor, and the acrid scent of blood, sweat, and leather fills your nostrils. The sounds of men fighting, lions roaring, and the distant cry of the crowd filter down a narrow corridor set to one side. Painted high above on the red clay ceiling is the image of a black scimitar.
Moving down the corridor, the sound of the waiting crowd floods your senses and the brightness of the light after the dimness of the sanctuary momentarily blinds you...
Well of Life (308)
As you sense your souls have linked together, the coppery scent of drying blood saturates your senses.
Condemn (309)
[Success] The cacophony of pitched battle fills the air, disorienting TARGET!
[Failure] A distant clash of battle gives TARGET pause, but nothing comes of it.

[Debuff end] The battlefield tumult surrounding TARGET fades away.
Blind (311)
[1p] As your faith overcomes TARGET's weakened defenses, you sense the ecstatic bloodlust of the Berserker flowing through you.
[2p] CASTER's face shimmers and vanishes, and, in its place, you see the image of a giantman with marble white skin. His coal black eyes stare vengefully down at you, an expression of threat made only more dire by the bloodstained armor concealing his vast bulk. The image sears itself into your vision before everything dissolves in a wash of scarlet.

Censure (316)
For your transgressions, your blood will run across the soil like a river, and your splintered bones will be sown across the land!

[1p] This section has not been added yet; please add to it now!
[2p] Harsh and barbaric, the words of CASTER's chant fall from his lips and disappear upon the air that surrounds you. Darkness descends upon your vision, changing the world to sanguine hues, and you watch as an unholy rage fills CASTER's face. Suddenly blinded by the berserker frenzy that fills him, he lashes out at you, and the raw energy of his fury restores you to life.
[3p] Harsh and barbaric, the words of CASTER's chant fall from his lips and disappear upon the surrounding air. Blood fills his eyes, and his face transforms into a mask of unholy rage as he stares down at TARGET's prone form. Suddenly blinded by the berserker frenzy that fills him, CASTER lashes out at TARGET and the air crackles with the raw energy of his fury as it restores her to life.
Intercession
a black iron scimitar talisman
Shadows flood your vision and tinge everything you see a faint bloody red. The clash of battle fills your ears, punctuated by the cries of the dying. Your vision clears in moments and the riotous noises fade to nothing, but you are left with a righteous sense of purpose.
Divine Wrath (335)
[1p]
As you pour your soul into an appeal to V'tull, you know that you are heard. A sudden wave of bloodlust rages through you, and the world drops away into the black haze of a berserker's frenzy.
From within the dark well of bloodlust, you thrill with berserker's ecstasy as you feel the power of V'tull respond to your prayer. The weapon you need to satisfy your bloodlust materializes before you -- a jet black scimitar that hangs in midair and responds to your pure will.
Divine will surges through you, and you command the scimitar to strike at TARGET.
Your connection to V'tull lessens, causing the searing bloodlust to vanish instantly away from you. The scimitar is gone, the haze of berserking hunger has left you, and you feel drained and tired.
[3p]
CASTER lets out a hoarse, ragged cry of bloodlust, and black haze films his eyes.
A jet black scimitar coalesces in front of CASTER, and he fixes his black-filmed eyes on it with the expression of a fanatic witnessing a divine miracle.
As CASTER lets out a furious, hungry howl, the jet black scimitar hanging in the air beside him whirls through the air to strike at TARGET.
The jet black scimitar beside CASTER vanishes, and he staggers slightly as the black haze vanishes from his eyes.
[Look Caster]
A haze as black as night films CASTER's eyes.
[Manifestation]
a jet black scimitar hanging unsupported in midair
Other than the fact the black scimitar is floating in midair, it appears to be a normal scimitar.
[3p] CASTER grasps the scimitar firmly by the hilt, but it jerks away from him of its own accord.

You briefly close your eyes, and a dark miasma roils about the ground around your feet. A faint black light builds up and emanates from your hand before it takes on the shape of an ethereal scimitar!

The ethereal scimitar violently explodes, leaving nothing to remain.
