V'tull is the champion of the dark gods.

Almost single-minded in his goal of bloodletting for its own sake, the sight of the life's blood of any creature seems to fill V'tull with ecstasy. Given his nature, he has spent all of his efforts in perfecting his fighting abilities and in using them at every opportunity. While all of the gods rarely manifest themselves among mortals, V'tull does so more often than most. He regularly enters into the bodies of warriors, whose eyes are said to turn black as night when this happens, and turns them into killing machines. His willingness to divinely inspire assures that his devotees among the martial classes are many, even where his worship is prohibited by those who fear their warriors will turn against them.

V'tull's preferred humanoid manifestation is that of a man with marble white skin and coal black eyes who towers over everyone he meets. He is always dressed in armor so stained with blood that its true color cannot be known. In manner, he is determined, righteous, obsessive and vengeful. His symbol is a black scimitar on a field of red.

Shrines, Statuary, and Holy Places

Catacombs, Ta'Vaalor

Underneath the fortress city of Ta'Vaalor is a holy shrine dedicated to V'Tull.

[Catacombs, Altar]
Thick bluish-green mold covers the walls entirely. Sudden cracks and holes in the ground make walking treacherous. In each corner of the room, stands considerably sized candelabras with partially burnt blood-red candles perched atop them. A wooden lectern rests atop a raised, rock platform in the center of the room. An old tome lies open on the lecturn.
Obvious exits: east, south, west
>look at platform
You see a platform made entirely of rocks.

>look at lectern
You see a splintered lecturn, gashed as though struck by a heavy axe or bludgeon.

>look tome
A thick layer of dust and mold covers the pages of the tome.
There appears to be something written on it.

>read tome
As you strain to pick out the words under the layer of dust and mold, you realize the language is unknown to you.

Cleric Guilds

Displayed in the Prayer Rooms of each Cleric Guild is a state of V'tull. These prayer rooms are considered a holy shrine to multiple deities.

The powerful figure of V'Tull, clad in armor, leans forward slightly as if anticipating the arrival of a foe. A feral eagerness to attack is apparent on his face. Held loosely in his hand is a long, cruel-looking scimitar.

>touch V'Tull
You reach out and touch the statue of V'Tull.

A chill runs down your spine, as if you had briefly caught V'Tull's dread attentions.

Wehnimer's Landing Cleric Guild

Located in the Antechamber of Lornon is a table inset with fist-sized seals depicting all of the Lornon arkati, including one for V'tull. This area is not considered a holy shrine.

A black scimitar on a field of red is painted on the golden seal of V'tull.

Ta'Vaalor Cleric Guild

One of the Chambers of Lessons in the Ta'Vaalor Cleric Guild is dedicated to V'Tull. The statue is identical to that in the other Cleric Guilds. It is considered a holy shrine.

[Lornon Hall, Chamber of Lessons]
Scores of viciously slashed black silk banners flutter silently upon the walls in this large, round chamber. The domineering presence of a statue to the south casts a long, foreboding shadow across the flawless white surface of the floor. A feral snarl is etched upon the man's features, and his heavily-muscled form is captured in mid-attack, his scimitar raised upwards in a slashing arc. A small, cloth-draped altar stands beneath the statue.
Obvious exits: north
>look altar
Crafted of deep black marble, the altar is draped with an altar-cloth of dark crimson velvet embroidered with a ragged black scimitar. An open book rests atop the altar.

>read book
In the Common language, it reads:
"The lust of battle and the utter indulgence of its ruthless flow - this Arkati has many lessons to teach, but one would do well to temper such barbarous passion with discipline."

Kharam Dzu Cleric Guild

One of the Halls of Lessons in the Kharam Dzu Cleric Guild is dedicated to V'Tull. The statue is identical to that in the other Cleric Guilds. It is considered a holy shrine.

[Cleric Guild, Hall of Lessons]
Waves of scorching heat distort the air into a vicious blur, and the hall is soaked with an angry crimson glow from the surrounding lava. Standing at the edge of the small island which keeps you safe from the magma's reach is a white marble statue of a man with solid black eyes, and scimitar in hand. Curiously, no altar sits before the statue, only a jagged steel greatsword pointed back toward the way you came. Marked in bold letters upon the floor above the massive sword's hilt is an inscription.
Obvious exits: northwest
>look greatsword
Massive in proportions, the greatsword's edge is jagged and sharp enough to split hairs. It's unusually large for a weapon of such design, and looks far too heavy to lift.

>read inscription
In the Common language, it reads:
"Honor V'tull not by kneeling in prayer, but by glorious slaughter reaped through battle."
