By casting Fervor, the paladin emboldens their allies with the fervor of their righteous cause. The damage from the paladin's group's physical and magical bolt attacks is increased (10 points of damage weighting, equivalent to "heavy" weighting). Training in Spiritual Lore, Blessings increases the damage weighting effect. This stacks with all other weighting effects.

In addition, successful attacks have 10% chance that a deity specific flare will occur after the attack and will be the same critical type as Repentance or Judgment for most deities. Training in Spiritual Lore, Religion increases the chance of the flare triggering. Group members who CONVERT to the same deity as the caster will gain an additional 5% bonus to their flare chance. This flare can occur even if there are other flare effects on the weapon (including Guiding Light/Holy Weapon), and can be triggered by CS spells as well as physical attacks and bolt spells.

Fervor is an aura spell that will remain active until the paladin STOPs it, dies, or switches to another aura type. A paladin can only maintain one aura at a time, but multiple paladins grouped together can benefit from each other's auras if they are different.

This aura also provides benefits to both Repentance (1615) (evoked) and Templar's Verdict (1603). It will convert the pure damage flare on Repentance (1615) (evoked) to a damage/crit flare and give it bonus warding. It provides bonus plasma flare to Templar's Verdict (1603) when something is killed with it active.

Messaging

Cast
You utter a pious chant and a divine force suddenly radiates around you. The intensity of your patron's aid billows out from you in a wave of righteous indignation!
Astru basks in a divine force that suddenly surrounds her.
The divine force suddenly surrounds an orange tiger.
Expiration
The divine force surrounding you slowly fades away.
Flare (deity-based)
Your (weapon/body) surges with power as (color messaging) coalesces around it!

The appearance of the flare as it coalesces around the weapon is identical to the manifestation of Repentance (1615). When casting this spell, the messaging will be different depending upon the caster's CONVERT-chosen deity, except with the rare exception Well of Life (308) where it instead detects the target's deity. Expand the chart below to see all known possibilities. Any missing information can be added at the deity messaging page.
