Chisel, Peen and Chamfer, Esqs.

a coral-encrusted building, [Map Room 52], Lich #26466, go building (High Plateau)

[Chisel, Peen and Chamfer, Esqs.]
This building's floor and walls lie hidden beneath the calcareous build-up left by generations of barnacles and sponges. Revealed now by lantern light, the pale, skeletal remnants of the invasive wall-coverings have warped the outlines of the windows and left two sets of paired columns looking like the trunks of large, melted-wax trees. In contrast, the newly added brass shelves, display rack, and brass table create an almost nightmarish mix of organic and manufactured that is unpleasant to the eye.

Master Chamfer's Pavilion

[Master Chamfer's Pavilion]
The familiar texture of tent canvas covers the walls in this portion of the building, complete with a central tent pole and canvas roof to hide whatever ceiling exists. A polished brass lantern hung from the pole fills the faux pavilion's interior with a warm golden glow, and a thick, woven rug provides a plush, if undeniably uneven, surface underfoot. At the base of the tent pole stands a small wooden work table and a three-legged stool.
The eisenrucks can be unlocked to tier two during this festival.
The socket choices are:
Diamond provides a five pound encumbrance reduction for one hour.
Ruby produces a jet of steam which removes a frostbite effect.
  Sapphire casts the forage spell.
  Pearl casts water walking.
Each socket has a twenty-four hour cooldown, so having a second socket of the same type provides a second use with its own twenty-four hour cooldown.
Diamond encum reductions stack duration, NOT encum reduction.

[Climate Change, Workspace] RNUM: 26570
This extremely tight room barely fits a handful of people comfortably, though it could hold more if packed together tightly like a mass of squirming fish caught in a net. The room is dimly lit by patches of glowing moss which quiver at the occasional circulating breath of overpoweringly brine-scented air. Drops of water plunk down from the ceiling to meet the lurking, grey mist undulating in thick pools on the sandy ground. A rounded stone bench off to the side provides some seating.

Henphelia's Love Shack

a ramshackle hen house, [Map Room 34], Lich #26509, go house

[The Ramshackle Hen House] RNUM: 26511
Painted boards are haphazardly thrown together with bits of twine and a smattering of nails to form the walls of this cramped hen house. Tiers of screen-covered coops rise upon the left and right, each filled with dirty bits of straw, feathers, and discarded egg shells. The low ceiling provides scant illumination for the tight quarters, which is probably why a small mud-smudged sign has been left near the entrance.
Obvious exits: out
The feathers are meant for your hair.
They have specific instructions so make sure you analyze them carefully.
I can't imagine that you'd need to know more, but I probably forgot something... Like the time I forgot to feed the hens for a few days.
Enjoy my painting series about Henphelia.

The main showroom of this quickly built shop is packed with goods for sale. Near the interior of the door, a stack of unopened crates lies in wait to replenish the items as customers mingle and supplies grow low. The smooth, unevenly spaced driftwood that comprise the walls of this poorly constructed shack give evidence in both sight and smell of ages spent in or near the swelling sea; indeed, bits of sand and dried muck cling desperately to the occasional dent in the wood of several of the logs. Through gaps in the walls, you hear waves crashing eternally in rhythm with the unabating buzzing of big bugs. The ground below is formed of a mixture of crushed seashells, sand, and other unidentifable substances.

Shafts of moonlight seep through the windows, snaking through the miniscule spaces found between stacks of merchandise that fill the room. Narrow shadowy walkways allow for navigation among the clutter and no specific organization is present in the chaos of the decor. Shelves are interspersed in the mess, dotting the walls and peeking out from the haphazardly stacked towers of items.
The candy bags on the shelf heal what ails ya.
The yellow helps with severe organ issues, while the green helps with a bit less of a wound (though not much!).
The small blue one helps more than acantha.
The dark violet assists with some nerve damage, while the crumpled blue helps severe nervous ticks!
The stained green one fixes a severe limb injury, and the stark white one helps even further!

This harness will hold a polearm/runestaff type weapon and displays it all pretty-like. Currently, you can SLAP, PUT/DROP (into), and GET (from) the harness. SLAP is a bit tricky -- it will change how you PUT and GET appropriate items from your container. This harness is currently Tier 1 (of 2), but it can be unlocked by some talented merchants.

a ramshackle cottage with pale billowing curtains, [Map Room 25], Lich #26447, go cottage

SI, Main Room

[Steep Insights, Main Room] RNUM: 26738
Efforts to repair this ramshackle cottage have been attempted with marginal success. Some of the stained wood walls and floorboards have been scrubbed clean of mud, scraped free of moss, and scoured of mold, but a mildewy scent still lingers. Pale curtains in glassless windows flutter in the breeze, billowing out into the mottled sunlight diffused by the undulating fog that comes and goes. Benches with cushions set beside small tables make for a cozy place to relax while sampling the wares.

Simply decorated with recipes tacked to what remains of the cottage walls, the handwritten notes are accompanied by painted illustrations of various herbs, spices, flowers, and leaves. Half the ceiling is still intact, while the rest has given way to wood rot, with only a canvas tarp stretched taut and coated stiff with wax to ward off wind and rain. Several braziers set with small pots are either roasting coffee beans or making essences for flavoring.

A complex aroma of lavender and vanilla heightens the flavor of the rich burgundy wine.
4 quaffs
a glass of claret-tinted wine Notes of cherry, cedar, and tobacco dominate the claret's flavor.
Fruit forward and smooth, the pleasant balance offers instant delight.
a glass of plum-tinted wine Dry, smoky plum flavors roll over your palate, accompanied by a lingering tannin aftertaste.
A pleasurable elegance imbues the fine wine's flavor, including just a hint of bitterness from the new oak in which it was stored.
a glass of violet-tinted wine Aromas of forest floors and pipe tobacco hover over floral notes of roses and violets.
Hints of violets lift the spicy scent of black fruit and cherries.
a glass of amber-tinted wine There is a strong statement of cassis ringed by dried cranberry, raspberry and plum, all woven through with a ribbon of rich caramel.
A bold note of anise is followed by a long finish perfumed with sandalwood and spice.

Witch-balls, suspended from the ceiling by bits of twine, dangle at varying lengths, their candle-lit bodies spilling a golden glow upon the refurbished floorboards. Recesses carved into the granite walls display a variety of wares under the watchful eye of a young giantwoman. Near the back of the shop, a coin-edged velvet curtain provides entry to a backroom.

>ask giantwoman about case
The giantwoman brightens as she hears the query, "The cases," she repeats. "Why they are the devices used by the Truefolk for divination. Surely, you've seen them before."

>ask giantwoman about niches
Smiling, the giantwoman nods slowly and says, "Each niche is filled with a different kind of scrying device. We have many different kinds available. Please feel free to ask me about each item."

>ask giantwoman about crystal ball
"Well," the giantwoman begins, "The crystal balls are very handy tools that will provide a yes or no pathway for you to follow. Sometimes, they are emphatic about the answer, while others less so. And my mistress can customize them in no time flat. For a fee, that is."

>ask giantwoman about pouches
Glancing at one of the recesses, the giantwoman slowly confesses, "I'm not very good with that method. The ways of the Human Seers elude me for some reason. All those stones are confusing."

>ask giantwoman about sand
Smiling brightly, the giantwoman says, "My mistress went to great pains to dye those sands. They are for the Tehir method... What is it called? It's just on the tip of my tongue... " Shrugging, she says, "Nothing to fear, it will come to me."

>ask giantwoman about blades
Frowning for a fraction of a second, the giantwoman says, "I'm not fond of the blades. But my Mistress says that every scrying method should be honored." Glancing around to see if anyone else is listening, she says, "They are for the practice of Haruspex."

Potting Shed

The interior of the small potting shed is awash in competing aromas...jasmine, gardenia, tea rose, loamy soil and even a bit of manure. Some well worn wooden tables crowd the small space, each scattered with an assortment of gardening tools and plants in different stages of growth. Several gardening texts and empty containers are stacked haphazardly beneath the tables. A small wash basin rests in one corner.

The Walrus and the Carpenter

a large white pavilion, [Map Room 30], Lich #26523, go white pavilion (Northern Passage)

WC Entry

[The Walrus and The Carpenter] RNUM: 26524
Displaying an obvious contrast in design, the canvas-covered room is divided in two along the lines of a large knotted oak support post. Upon the western side, the room is filled with cabinets and carved tables that show a distinct artisan's touch, while the eastern side is riddled with barnacle-laced cupboards and counters that are waterlogged and warped. A brightly illuminated flap leads northwest and stands opposite a plain, dimly light opening.
Obvious exits: northeast, northwest, out

On the knotty oak table:

a polished modwir drinking bowl etched with cresting waves Drink container 750
a polished siren-etched fork with a modwir handle 250

a polished modwir plate encircled by etched shells 750
a polished siren-etched knife with a modwir handle 250
a polished siren-etched modwir spoon 250

On the barnacle-laced counter:

a partially cooked hagfish Biting down on the hagfish reveals a chewy texture and liver-like flavor that lingers in the mouth after the lump lodges briefly in your throat.
The faint taste of salt and oil relieves the hagfish from an utterly repulsive feel in your mouth.
7 bites
a cluster of bright fish eggs The combination of briny and fishy flavors is intriguing.
A faint taste of iodine lingers in your mouth.
3 bites
a fatty slab of blobfish An initial blandness gives way to a plethora of vile textures and unsettling flavors that seem to squirm with a life of their own. You swallow as quickly as you can to end the disturbing experience, but the haunting smell of it lingers in your mind.
As the gooey, warm blobfish wiggles in your mouth, a sense of regret tinged with despair overtakes you, and it takes everything within your power not to gag.
7 bites

In the knotty oak cabinet:

a thin rosewood bowl with unique grain patterns Drink container 750
a wide-lipped cherry burl bowl
a saddle-shaped pearwood bowl with natural edging
a lacquered burled walnut bowl
a natural-edged white walnut bowl with darkened rings
a natural-edged hickory bowl with ebon rings

In the barnacle-laced cupboard:

some distilled sea water The faint flavor of fish detectable beneath the rotting, mossy taste is truly stomach-wrenching.
The putrid, mossy flavor masks an underlying fishy taste.

a cup of walrus sweat Strong vinegar flavors wash out any other perceptible flavor.

The Carpenter's Cozy

[The Carpenter's Cozy] RNUM: 26532
Braided rugs, slightly lumpy where the cover the sand, are spread throughout the small room that is encircled by pressed canvas walls. Wrought iron lanterns, three in total, shed light upon the tables, that they are hung over, and the nearby chairs fashioned of broken ship's wheels. Passage into the other areas of the pavilion are cleared for easy navigation.

The Proprietor's Backroom

[The Proprietor's Backroom] RNUM: 26534
Disheveled sand meets tidy rugs along the backside of the pavilion, the two proprietors' personalities clearly clashing in this small space. The eastern edge appears to be filled with storage boxes, discarded traps, and fishing nets, while the opposite side houses an orderly workbench with clean tools spaced at even intervals. The southern wall of the pavilion plays host to a very large painting surrounded by a frame carved with decorative oyster shells.
Obvious exits: east, west
Coated with oils, the thick canvas supports a colorful painting of a bright, sunny beach in the early hours of the morning. Gulls fly overhead while a comical-looking man, wearing a painter's cap and a carpenter's belt, strolls by the water's edge beside an enormous brown walrus wearing a purple bowtie and jaunty cap. Trailing behind them are discarded oyster husks, which trickle to the shell-carved frame.
There appears to be something written on it.

In the Common language, it reads:
The Walrus and The Carpenter

The Walrus' Whim

[The Walrus' Whim] RNUM: 26533
Jagged shale rocks jut up from the sandy floor and create an uneven terrain to traverse, which is odd in this small space that is surrounded by thick canvas walls. Bowls of oil and fire illuminate everything in sight, including the half-desiccated carcass of some forgotten sea creature near the eastern edge of the pavilion. A large flat-topped boulder blocks the path between the western and southwestern egresses.
Obvious exits: southwest, west

On the large flat-topped boulder you see:

a bowl of seaweed salad You take a bite of your seaweed salad. The sand crunching between your molars provides an interesting counterpoint to the soggy, oily salad.
You take a bite of your seaweed salad. As your teeth embrace the buttery sweetness, they encounter soft oily chunks with a faintly fishy taste.
6 bites
an oily fish eye The thick, paste-like texture of the fish eye clings to the inside of the mouth, imparting a lasting flavor not unlike that of rancid fish oil.
The thin outer skins of the fish eye gives way against your tongue, releasing a flood of thick, briny juice.
2 bites
a warm mug of viscous liquid Thick and viscous, the viscous liquid has a harsh gaminess and tastes as though someone has punched you in the mouth.
Unpleasantly hot, the viscous liquid almost causes you to lose your appetite due to its wholly unappealing flavor.

Cluttered on one side with six tall stools, a rough-edged oak bar is covered in a milky film, and the other side is entirely bereft of clean glassware and -- perhaps the reason for the general lack of patrons -- liquor. A diminutive worktable, its surface covered in dust and ashes, holds a handful of blades sans hilts, some stained with sanguine and all wrought with cracks through their metal makeup. The daggers are for rituals, and though they may involve prayer, they are not specifically tied to the Arkati.

The gold kaiken and the emerald ritual dagger will not be very useful in combat. The other dagger-based blades are useful in combat and employ an enchant as close to vultite's as is possible for their natural base material.

The sheaths are made for several blade types and are known as Rocket Sheaths. They are worn as follows:

East

Passage

[Hideaway Cavern, Passage]
Damp and somewhat humid, with a small vent occasionally spurting out grey mist, the area is narrow. More like a passageway than a proper room, it stretches a goodly length, with a slope leading steeply downward at the far end. Black ropes are suspended against both of the longer cavern walls, one hung with varied daggers, the other supporting assorted small sheaths. Fending off complete darkness, funnel-shaped glass lanterns droop down from above at unevenly spaced intervals.
Obvious exits: west
The daggers are for best used by those who are religious. If you are not religious, the spirits that roam this world are where you will focus your thoughts.

The hematite pavade and the grey stone dagger will not be very useful in combat. The other dagger-based blades are useful in combat and employ an enchant as close to vultite's as is possible for their natural base material.

The sheaths are specially made for small blades and are worn as follows:
   Grey suede - back
   Scorpion-etched - shoulder
   Glaes-buckled - forearm
   Charred leather - upper arm
   Leather - thigh
   Charcoal - ankle

GO SLOPE

Skyfall

[Hideaway Cavern, Skyfall]
Affording a spectacular view of the mist-filled darkness outside, the cavern wall falls away on one side of an upward slope, completely open to the elements and a precipitous drop-off. The opposite wall expands outward, allowing ample room for the wares draped from multiple hooks and placed atop a long driftwood table. Shoved against the walls are substantial piles of dead kelp, which exude the stench of rotting sea life. Almost indiscernible in a shadowed niche, a warped door bears deep gashes.
